Frequently Asked Questions
Common Questions
Do I need a referral from a doctor to start?
No referral needed! Texas is a direct access state, meaning you can come straight to us without seeing a physician first. If we think you need a referral for further medical management, we’ll guide you in the right direction.
Do you accept HSA or FSA accounts?
Yep! Physical therapy is a qualified medical expense, so you can absolutely use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to cover your sessions.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends. After your initial evaluation, we’ll outline a clear plan based on your condition, goals, and lifestyle. Some people see results quickly, others need a bit more time—but we’ll make sure it’s all tailored to you.
I’m not an athlete. Can you still help me?
For sure. We work with athletes and non-athletes alike. Whether you’re a busy parent, a weekend warrior, or just want to get out of pain and back to doing what you love, you’re in the right place.
Physical Therapy
I've tried physical therapy before. How is Flexline different?
At Flexline, you get 1-on-1 care with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every single session. We dig deeper to find the root cause—not just treat the symptoms—and we stay focused on your goals from day one. This is PT built for people who want to stay active, not just get by.
What can I expect during my initial evaluation?
Come dressed to move! Your first session is a full hour dedicated entirely to you. We’ll take time to hear your story, understand your goals, and assess how your body moves—not just where it hurts. We use tools like VALD ForceDecks and Dynamo to gather real data and take the guesswork out. By looking at how everything works together, we build a personalized game plan to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay pain-free.
Will I get treatment on the first visit?
Yes, most of the time. Once we assess your movement and discuss your goals, we’ll begin treatment if appropriate that same day.
What should I wear or bring?
Athletic clothes that allow access to the area we’re working on. For example, tank tops for shoulder issues or shorts for knees. Bring any relevant imaging or paperwork if you have it—but if not, no worries!
Do you offer virtual physical therapy?
Yes, we offer telehealth sessions for clients who prefer to work with us remotely. While hands-on care is great, we can still get results virtually with the right plan, coaching, and check-ins.
Do you offer dry needling?
Yes—we’re certified and experienced in dry needling. It’s one of several tools we use to reduce pain, improve mobility, and speed up recovery when appropriate.
Performance Therapy
What is Performance Therapy?
Performance therapy is all about getting you to your best—then going even further. Whether you're recovering from surgery, dealing with a nagging injury, or just want to level up your athleticism, we’re here to break through those barriers. Our goal? Help you move better, feel stronger, and crush your performance goals.
Do you offer customized remote exercise programming?
Absolutely. Every program is personalized based on your goals, movement patterns, and schedule. Many clients pair this with in-person sessions for the ultimate plateau-busting combo.
What is BFR and do you offer it?
Yes! BFR stands for Blood Flow Restriction training. It’s a powerful technique that uses a specialized cuff to safely limit blood flow to a limb during exercise. This helps you build strength and muscle using lighter loads—perfect for rehab, recovery, or gaining an edge in performance.
